INDIGENOUS PLANET

This painting is one of four pieces from “Indigenous Planet,” a digital art series based on the Four Seasons—one of the seven lessons of the Native American Medicine Wheel—where I digitally painted the Spring, Summer, Fall and upcoming Winter of my life. 

White represents Winter, where the future is space. The turtle represents Turtle Island, which is a name for North America, used by some Indigenous Peoples in the United States and First Nations people based on Indigenous creation stories.
