INDIGENOUS PLANET

This work is one of four pieces in Indigenous Planet, a digital art series inspired by the Four Seasons—one of the seven teachings of the Native American Medicine Wheel. Through this series, I portray the seasons of my life—Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

White represents Winter—a space of stillness, reflection, and possibility. In this piece, the future extends beyond Earth, into space. The turtle symbolizes Turtle Island, a name for North America used by many Indigenous Peoples and First Nations, rooted in creation stories that honor land, origin, and continuity.
