In the Canyon

THE CANYON

“The Canyon” duo is a nod to my nomadic ancestors (Kiowa, Apache) who traveled as far north as “where the white bear was” or the polar bear, which is way into Saskatchewan, Canada, and our warriors would travel south where there were “monkeys in the trees,” which was South America. Stateside, the Kiowa passed through present-day: Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Texas panhandle, and Oklahoma; the Apache: New Mexico, Arizona, northern Mexico, western Texas, southern Colorado, western Oklahoma, and southern Kansas.
